Starting out as a coverband, Barney's Ego took the stage with 2 guitars and 1 drum, as basic as it can be. We are currently performing and writing songs and will hit the recording studio very soon...

FLATCAT

The band Flatcat hails from the Belgian Bruges area. They soon started to emerge above the average mid '90 Belgian punkrockband: good songs, a strong live reputation and lots of humor in the set is what distinguished them from their competitors.

This also caught the attention abroad. The band toured Brasil twice (in 2001 and 2002) in order to promote their debut album "Better Luck Next Time", and this automatically led to extra publicity and coverage in their own country. The band played every club, every youth house and almost every small and midscale festival!

The sales figures of "the white album" exceeded all expectations, and even in Brasil the record sold well. Flatcat received numerous record deal offers but decided to remain loyal to EyeSpy Records, their Belgian label home since day one. The release party was played to a full house, more than 1000 people attended the show, unseen in Belgium for an independent band.

When the first single "Hear Tonight" was picked up by Belgian national alternative radiostation Studio Brussel, it then appeared that the intensive touring had created a huge fanbase. Flatcat was ready to cross the punkrockboundaries. The single reached spot 9 in De Afrekening, the alternative charts of the nationally state owned radiostation Studio Brussel. The videoclip of the second single "Wait and See" got high rotation on both TMF (MTV Networks Benelux) and JIM TV. Not only in the media did the band do well, but the bigger festivals also started to get interested in the band. Flatcat played excellent sets on Pukkelpop, Dour, Rock Herk, Suikerrock, ...

The releaseparty not only got bigger but a lot crazier: they had a limo parked on stage, female dancers performing in bikini and again a sold out venue. It wouldn’t take long before this all paid off: Flatcat entered De Afrekening with both "Rockstar Fantasy" and the title track "So This Is When We Grow Up". And again all of this resulted in a spot on almost all midscale and major festivals in the country!

The past few years, the band has been working in silence on a new sound, and on new material that had to surpass their previous releases. Up till now, each album has appeared to be a big step forward and it looks like "All Anchor Losts" will easily meet these expectations. Dieter "Minx" Meyns has been working with Sean Dhondt and Christophe Todts for more than one year to lift the songs to a higher level without neglecting the authenticity of the band.

The band has lots of plans for the future and emphasizes this with a new website, a new booker and a totally new and tightly rehearsed set full of brand new songs. With the new single and videoclip, already receiving positive critics beyond all expectations, and the kids who still find their way to a flatcat concert (Flatcat recently played two sold out anniversary songs as a warm up for the new cd), the band is dreaming about new adventures which should lead them through Belgium, Europe and why not Latin-America again!

PRICEDUIFKES

Zoals het echte prijsduiven betaamt leverden deze Kempense punkrockers hun nieuwste EP ‘Why Not’ perfect op tijd af. Deze release is ook zo’n plaatje waar de poppy punkrockditties je voorbij knallen in zulk hoog tempo dat de pluimen in het rond vliegen. De kwaliteit, het enthousiasme en de pure speelvreugde die deze band al sinds 2005 verspreidt werken aanstekelijk! The Priceduifkes combineren de juiste melodieën, de juiste witzen over meiden, de juiste ‘but seriously’ en de juiste vuist-in-de-lucht overtuiging om op MRF te komen te zien en te overwinnen. Jongens en meisjes, maak van de show mee een dik feest!

MOMENTS

This melody-driven hardcore band from Belgium has been touring non-stop since these youngsters started out in 2011. After spreading their name across the country and after releasing a first EP they are now climbing their way up. In november 2013 the band released another promising EP which had an immense impact and made them cross the country borders. Their sound has become heavier and they bring the most energetic live show you’ve probably ever seen. It’s been a crazy journey so far but there’s a lot more to come.

Campus

This hard-rocking, guitar-driven melodicore quintet rose from the ashes of local bands such as Prohibited and Samedi. In the winter of 2004 they decided it was time for something new and they started working on a project they could pour their heart and soul into. A smooth blend of raw screams, sing-along vocals, incredible basslines, hard-rocking guitars and pounding drums to complete the picture.

By the end of 2005 Campus was ready to hit the stage and basically, they haven't stopped playing since. From the very beginning, they got some great opportunities to support major bands like Stretch Arm Strong, Alexisonfire, Moneen, Across Five Aprils, Johnny Truant, Parkway Drive, On Broken Wings, Aiden, Scars Of Tomorrow, On The Last Day, Still Remains, Hand To Hand, PenKnifeLoveLife, Flood Of Red, Carpathian…the list is getting endless

As a hardworking, young, motivated and dedicated band, they have got their name spread as much as possible Doin’some tours in the Benelux, headin’ to the UK a couple of times and playing some shows in Italy sure helped a lot. But with the release of their funtime records debut album 'We are the silence' things started exploding in a real cool way. Campus did a 3 week European tour in 2008 (which brought them all over Europe including Sweden) and was invited to a whole range of festivals (big and small), including Groezrock , Pukkelpop, Rock Herk, Ieperfest to name just a few of them.

In the meantime, Campus started writing new songs and developped a more progressive sound while jammin' and recording. In february of 2010, the band started recording the higly acclaimed 'Oh, Comely!' album at the Farmhouse Studio with wellknown Belgian producer Ace Zec (who worked with The Maple Room, Customs, The Setup to name just a few of them)

The result is a fantastic album that combines the heaviness this band is known for with progressive sounds, beautiful multi layered guitars and an outburst of intensity. All these elements fit together well and form a well appreciated slap in the face, both on cd as well as live.

MURDOCK

Over a decade of drum&bass in Belgium. 
Gone from throwing small bashes to rocking every major festival in the country several times over. A fixed guest at national radio Studio Brussel for close to 10 years. Released 'Jungle Fever Vol 1' in Dec '09, which was immediately sold out, and followed up in Dec '10 With 'Jungle Fever Vol 2' to critical acclaim. Launched Radar Records in March '10 with Netsky's 'Your Way'/'Daydreaming' flying off the shelves, followed by Netsky's 'Strobot' remix, backed by KG's 'Seaside' rmx. Look out for the next Radar Remixes by Nymfo and Break coming in June '11.

The Strzebonsky Noizescene 

The Strzebonsky Noizescene is Stijn Preuveneers (26) op bas en Bert Jacobs (26) op drum en vocals. Regio: Leuven - Lummen

Veel lawaai maken, dat is wat The Strzebonsky Noizescene het liefst doet. En ze zijn er goed in ook. Met enkel een vuile bas en beukende drums creëert dit duo rauwe songs die door je heen razen als een kettingzaag. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan Death From Above 1979, maar denk ook vooral aan een gigantische muur van muziek die je keihard van je sokken blaast.

Wat begon op een kleine zolderkamer, is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een volwaardige act die live heel wat indruk maakt. Dat dit ritmische lawaai ook door het publiek gesmaakt wordt, mag blijken uit het indrukwekkende palmares dat deze twee heren op korte tijd al bij elkaar hebben gespeeld.

SLOW PILOT

Ik ben Pieter Peirsman, gitarist bij Walrus, frontman van bands als Mississippi Swimmers en Slow Pilot. Afgelopen maanden was ik als Pieter Peirsman te zien in het TV-programma 'De Beste Singer-songwriter van Vlaanderen', waar ik toch wel een goede beurt gemaakt heb. Voor Lisa Smolders, Stijn Meuris, Kris Wauters en Sarah Bettens was ik de gedoodverfde favoriet. Sarah, met wie ik nog steeds veel contact heb, en met wie ik in een afgeladen Paradiso in Amsterdam een onwaarschijnlijke performance heb gegeven ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvoINMsNG50#t=0 ).

CUSTOMS

Customs (° 2008) is a combo of four retrofuturists, known for melody, atmosphere and mathematical edge. Influences detected by several journalists include: The House of Love, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Sound, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Cocteau Twins.
Customs is known as well for making fame in a rather swift fashion:
End 2008, the band was elected 'Vi.be On Air Band of the Year 2009-2010’ by Studio Brussel.
In April 2009 Customs became the first ever ‘Artist in Residence’ at Het Depot (Leuven). Around the same time Customs' first single, entitled "Rex", was released. It stayed at the n°1 spot of De Afrekening (Studio Brussel) for 4 weeks and popped up in the Official Ultratop Singles-chart as well.
July of that same year marks the recording of their first album ‘Enter The Characters’ and the mastering at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by the even more legendary Geoff Pesche (Gorillaz, Basement Jaxx, LCD Soundsystem, Arctic Monkeys, Athlete, Coldplay and Dizzee Rascal).
Pukkelpop-festival 2009 welcomed Customs and the band received raving reviews in ‘Oor’ (Dutch music magazine) as well as in the Flemish weekly ‘Focus Knack’.
One week later "Justine" was released as the second single of the forthcoming debutalbum. The band played a concert to remember at the Leffingeleuren Festival and proudly presented a music video for "Justine", shot in Berlin by Brecht Goyvaerts and directed by Joris Rabijns.
On October 26th 2009 'Enter The Characters’ found its way to every recordstore. De Morgen (daily newspaper) celebrated the release with a four star review “Best Belgian Album Of The Year”. ‘Focus Knack’ put the four retrofuturists on their cover “Belgian Revelation Of The Year” and also ‘Humo’ (Belgian weekly) hails them in their pages.

COMA COMMANDER

Coma Commander jonge melodische Punkrock band uit Diest. Ze brachten eind vorig jaar een eerste EP uit en zijn nu volop bezig met het schrijven van een eerste full album. Voor fans van: Iron Chic, Red City Radio, Gnarwolves, Latterman, ... 

2 FABIOLA

2 Fabiola is a Belgian euro-house group, formed in 1991 by Pat Krimson (Patrick Claesen) and Zohra.

The group was noted for its lavish and extravagant clothes and performances. It has also made the charts in the Belgian Ultratop and had success in Spain. In the Ultratop 50 and Ultratop 50, they topped the charts. In 1999, the group took a break. Zohra started a solo career, and Pat Krimson led another project of his, called Nunca. After a while, a new 2 Fabiola is presented to the world, introducing singer Evi Goffin (Medusa, Lasgo).

After releasing some singles, the group disappeared from the Belgian music scene.

In 2007, Krimson announced the band’s comeback, introducing 2 new singers. Their last single, “Blow Me Away”, was published in July 2008.

In 2014 the group had a major hit with She's After My Piano after participating in the Belgium national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2014. This song was co-written by Romanian-Norwegian artist Ovi who for the second time participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with duet partner Paula Seling. The two artists recorded their own version of the song for Ovi's album A Bit of Pop Won't Hurt Anyone, 5th May 2014 (daWorks).

Mr. POLSKA

Mr. Polska is de artiestennaam van de Nederlands-Pools rapper Dominik Groot (20 juli 1989). Hij is lid van het rapcollectief Nouveau Riche.

Groot werd geboren met de achternaam Czajka en emigreerde op 3-jarige leeftijd met zijn moeder naar Nederland. Door het huwelijk van zijn moeder met een Nederlandse man kreeg hij zijn Nederlandse achternaam. Tijdens zijn studie aan de Herman Brood Academie, die hij in 2010 afrondde, bracht hij in 2007 een album uit in eigen beheer onder de naam MC Polski. Hij kreeg enige bekendheid met de track Kapoole Mashien, waarvoor een clip is opgenomen in Polen. Mr. Polska maakte met Jebroer en Negativ het nummer Bomrush dat Negativ op zijn mixtape Hinderlijker zette. In januari 2010 nam Polska in de studio van 101 Barz een wintersessie op.

Statemagazine van BNN is op bezoek geweest bij Mr. Polska in Gorinchem voor het programma Homegrown, waarin zij verschillende artiesten thuis interviewen. In 2010 stond hij in de finale van de Grote Prijs van Nederland. Zijn concurrenten waren Kalibwoy, Boef en de Gelogeerde Aap. Hij won de Grote Prijs niet, maar hij heeft wel een StateMagazine Rookie of the Yearaward gewonnen in 2010.

In De Pers behoorde Mr. Polska bij De elf van onszelf. 18 januari 2011 heeft Mr. Polska zijn tweede wintersessie bij 101 Barz opgenomen, dit keer samen met Jebroer. Mr. Polska klaagde er via Twitter bij TMF over dat hij niet gevraagd was om op te treden op de TMF Awards 2011. TMF daagde hem daarop uit om 1000 keer geretweet te worden met #polskaoptmfawards, dat lukte binnen een half uur. In mei kwam Alziend oor uit, waarop Polska prominent aanwezig is. Op 27 juni 2011 was Polska support act van House of Pain en op 21 juli van Lil' B. Op 21 oktober 2011 bracht Mr. Polska zijn eerste officiële soloplaat uit: De Boswachter EP. De ep verscheen onder het label van Nouveau Riche en is volledig geproduceerd door Boaz van de Beatz. De videoclip van het nummer Gustav van deze ep won een State Award.

In december 2011 kreeg hij van stichting Polonus de Publieksprijs van de verkiezing van Pool van het Jaar, werd geïnterviewd door PowNews en treedt op in Ekko tijdens de 3VOOR12 Utrecht Awards. In 2012 treedt hij op op het 3VOOR12-podium van Noorderslag. In januari werd hij genoemd bij De twaalf van 3voor12 voor 2012. Tijdens het Europees kampioenschap voetbal 2012 maakte Mr. Polska dagelijks achtergrondreportages in Polen voor het Radio 1-programma Sportzomer. Al vrij vroeg werd bekend dat hij te zien zal zijn in Expeditie Robinson 2014.
